Nils Olav Bøe´s (f.1958) constructed landscape reveal limitless and timeless space in grey tones. – If you take away the color, you take away a little of time, Bøe explains. This is Bøe´s first exhibition at Shoot Gallery, situated at the Barcode area in Oslo, and will present new works from the series Constructed Sites, consisting of both photographs and video works, and Polaroids from his new series U.T. Bøe is also launching his new book “Photographic Constructions” presenting his artistry for 30 years, with a focus on his photographic works.
Nils Olav Bøe was a student attending the Experimental class at the Norwegian Academy of Fine Arts. Until mid 1990´s he worked with installations, sculptural and moving objects, video and sound. The camera then became a new tool. With a downscaled world of small scaled models, Bøe´s photographic expression became completely constructed and artificial. The exhibition opens Thursday September 20th and will run until October 27th .
