NYTT ROM has both friends and followers in Germany, and in our current issue we have visited two homes in two different German cities. Both with plenty of character and personality, telling the story about their residents interest in Scandinavian design and contemporary continental style. In Oslo we present a small apartment with an eye for details, and The Black Lodge by Invit architects in Sunnmørsalpene, Norway. It´s fascinating location in the weathered environments creates the backdrop for a contrasting exterior of rusty steel plates, with an interior dominated by black plywood, oak, comfortable yet stylish furniture and a fireplace. The cold winter months is the time for inspiration and new input – and maybe for creating something new that can be further developed as the blue winter lights is replaced by the gentle Scandinavian spring.
